I 1st learned to play drums at school in concert band with a "conuducter" keeping time so, it's always been easier for me to see the arm movement to keep time (metronomes are great but I like the longer movement of someone's arm). So, I just recorded a couple videos on my tablet at different tempos, using a click track to keep the time while I'm doing the arm movement. I made them 15 minutes each, so it's plenty long to cover most any song you're working on and can play it on a loop if need it to be longer. Then just set the tablet on a stand, table, whatever..., visible from your throne and go.
