    Default EZ foot percussion piece

Here's an easy one. Meinl castanet, intended to be velcro'd to side of cajon. I put it on a board, and play it with my foot. Discovered that it works better if open end is facing my foot.

Sounds great in conjunction w/ a foot jingle, as well.

I use it when I am playing other drums/percussion, or else when playing my banjo. Cuts through nicely.

Nice! I like the rubber washers on the bottom.

Thanks! Simple ... but not simplistic. Thick, solid board is good for playing outdoors on grass. (Our bluegrass band plays several farmers markets in the summer.) Solid platform for stomping the foot tambourine.. with the castanet or not. Meinl makes one with a jingles built into it .... I can fit both.

But wait there's more !! I wrapped some foam rubber around a drum trigger, stuffed it into a nylon billfold, and riveted it shut, with elastic bands through the folds. I then patch it into my analog bass drum synthesizer. Slide it back for independent heel-stomping bass, or slide it up for alternating heel-toe patterns.

Got this on E-bay, from Germany; it's my only piece of electronic drum equipment:

Use an A/B box and e-drum pedal for double-kick :

Okay that's all I got for now.
