As I've said before...I hate traveling when gigging. Just hate it. Even a 2.5 hr trip to Tucson or a 90 minute up north. Kill me please.

If I HAD to be somewhere...and I could enjoy the surroundings as much as possible and "work" as less as possible. I'd go to a large island.

Maybe I could tour with DON HO.

    (Is he still alive?)

Van Halen during the week of the 1983 US Festival

I like to have a good time plus Alex had a special kit wrapped up for that event. There's not many pictures of it around and no close ups in the video at all. A good show that wasn't documented very well

“It was like the shortest tour in the world. The preparation for that gig was like doing a whole tour. We had to rent a sound stage and set up a rehearse again because we hadn’t played in front of people for so long. Then there was the problem with the video. There were all kinds of problems with cameramen not getting good shots of the band members when we were doing solos. I tell you, the whole US thing was a nightmare. It kept haunting us. And we kept popping up, saying, “Goddamn, is this US thing ever going to be over?” —EVH

Col. Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. Such an eclectic gathering of astonishing musicians making great music together. Might have to watch what you eat/drink with them or you might end up on a hell of trip though.

We talking music or fringe benefits?

    Fringe benefits,the Stones.
Private planes ,suites in the best hotels and many groupies (take yer pick).

    The downside ,their music.

Musicwise, McCoy Tyner in small club settings.

I see where you're coming from. When I visited Phoenix last September, I was surprised to learn just how big the city is geographically. There should be plenty of work without ever leaving the city limits.

    all the best...

One band for one week? That's a tough one. There's so many musicians I'd love to play with.

First I'd have to go with my favorite band, Breaking Benjamin. I also think it'd be tight to go on tour with Foo Fighters. That would be an incredible experience.
