I had two made for my old band just by going to a sign shop. They were able to custom make giant decals to size and for a bit more even professionally installed them. So if they screwed it up they redid it at no cost.

do you think this would be cheaper than designing one online?

Google Vintage logos custom drumheads. You will find a lot of nice heads or have one made up. Not cheap though.

Here is a simple graphic I just installed myself last night. Cost me $25 bucks. It's in chrome.

Sicskinz, rockenwraps, drumart, etc. Any place that specializes in graphics more than actual drum parts will do a good job as specialists for what you want. It does come at a price though, especially if you're handing them a design they don't currently have in their inventory.

Here is a pic of my drumhead from vintage logos " Sunset ". I do not belong in a band so no name on it. I am planning someday of putting the Pearl logo.
The lacquer finish on my MCX is Chestnut Fade . Which is discontinued but available special order.

^^^that is beautiful. Matches the finish on the drums perfectly. Ranks right up there with Late8's '57 Chevy reso on his Gretsch Kit.

I'd go with the local sign shop as well. Just have them print a vinyl logo and tape that sucker on. Although if you're looking to cover the entire head - I might go with a website that offers this (there are many)

Love your design! Would make a killer painting too. Really speaks to you, it's like trying to say that music can reach anyone anywhere, any civilization, anything. Maybe too that no one can hide from the effect on music on the world. Cool stuff indeed.

I got a removable decal online, they did a great job. Cool part is you can take it off and put it on pretty easily. Looks great too. Let me know if interested and I will send you the link to the website I used. I will try to find a pic I can put on here soon.
