Sadly it's been almost 20 years since I was in a band. I'd love to be in one but my responsibilities lay in being a husband & father.
My daughter is starting her own band and was holding auditions the other day for bassists. Next will be drums. She asked me to sit in on the drums to audition the bassists. I knew the 2 girls she had on guitar from before so we had a lot of fun.
It was so cool to see these kids going for it. I was so proud.
Soooo.....
Why not just play in the band with your daughter? That qualifies as being a good father. AND, improving the family relationship also helps on the husband front.
