    Default My Band!

Alright, I've got a little disclaimer that goes with this... haha.

I had NO part in selecting this band name. We needed a name for gigs, our vocalist and bassist thought of one, and we used it.

Thanks Lafirin! Nothing will EVER bring me to liking that name though.

I've been playing for about 7-8 years now. I only started taking my drumming seriously about 4 years ago.

Haha, thanks again! I probably should be better for how long I've been playing... I need to work on my timing... I noticed shortly after we started recording the guitar tracks that I will go in and out of time occasionally! Thanks for the compliments on the music though!

Metronome's do help alot if you're having trouble with time. Try it out on your band members first to make sure THEY are on time first. Alot of times that turns out to be the problem, that the namd is off and the drummer is playing it by ear.

wow yeah, sounds great and yes the timing is really good. Great mix of instruments and awesome job on the drums. Well done Dont worry about the name, really the name is nothing, just look at some bands out these days that are famous.

It is good, dude. I'd suggest your vocalist quits the conformist "cookie monster" sound while he's ahead and improves upon the style. You guys have incredible potential. And dude, your playing was superb, the timing was fine. Good job.

I agree on the cookie monster voice. I have never been a fan.

Haha, about the vocals... well, I'm a huge fan of the clean voice, but I also like my "cookie monster" vocals as you guys call it. I only like it when it's done well though... like Mikael Akerfeldt for example. There aren't many vocalists in our area that have a good singing voice. When we were first getting together, we were looking for someone who could do vocals similar to In Flames/Dark Tranquillity and other band in that vein. I would like to incorporate clean vocals into our next set of recordings (which should hopefully happen sometime in December-January). We'll see how it turns out! Thanks for the compliments on the band + my playing! You guys make me feel like I'm good, hahaha!

Man, your band is one of the best local bands I've ever heard. Haha, I used to live in coastal Oregon and the bands there suck...so bad. This was a little piece of mind, keep it up.

Oh and one other thing. On your myspace, your influences were my favorite. I love Opeth and In Flames, DT and Porcupine Tree kick *** too.
