My favorite Yogi-ism: "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded."
A co worker at work is the biggest Yankees fan I know of. Walk in his office and it's just wall to wall Yankees.
I'm a casual baseball fan, the Oakland Athletics have always been my favorite team. I do like watching the world series though when it starts and really enjoyed the movie 61 about Mantle and Maris.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

RIP Mr Berra.
My favorite line from him....................."when you come to a fork in the road, take it"
Having grown up in the '50's and '60's when the Dodgers, Giants, and the Yankees all played in New York, I had the good fortune to have my father and 2 uncles as huge baseball fans, albeit, each 1 for a different team.
When I started playing drums in 1956, I also played Little League baseball. My father would take me to Ebbetts field to see the Dodgers. I saw Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Carl Furillo, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, and when the Cardinals came to town, we would go to see Stan Musial, and if it were the Giants, we would go to see Willie Mays, and, of course, if it were the Braves, to see Hank Aaron.
Going to the Polo grounds was just to see Mays play.
Yankee Stadium was a shrine to all the players that played and were stars there.
Saw Yogi towards the end of his career, Whitey Ford, The Mick, Bill Skowron, Phil Rizzuto's last season, Ted Williams towards the end of his Jeters 1st. Was there when Mattingly took a handful of some boys popcorn after running to the railing and seeing that a foul ball was about 20 rows deep. We couldn't see what Mattingly did because everybody was standing watching the foul ball. I didn't know what happened until I saw it on the news that night.
I saw Koufax and Drysdale pitch against the Mets when they were playing in the Polo grounds.
It was good to be a kid in those days although it broke my heart when the Dodgers moved West.
I know I left out a ton of players, but then this would have been a novel.
" You know, I never said all those things I said?"

Doc Sweeney Drums
A bunch of snares
A bunch of cymbals
Off-Set double pedals
I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

YOGI:
You can observe a lot just by watching.
He must have made that before he died (referring to a Steve McQueen movie)
I knew I was going to take the wrong train, so I left early.
If you can't imitate him, don't copy him.
You better cut that pizza into 4 slices because I'm not hungry enough to eat 6.
Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical.
Slump? I ain't in no slump, I just ain't hitting.
A nickel isn't worth a dime today.
I made a wrong mistake.
Thanks, you don't look so hot yourself. (after being told that he looked cool).
I always thought that record would stand until it was broken.
If the fans don't come out to the ballpark, you can't stop them.
It ain't the heat, it's the humility.
