I've never been to those stores myself either. Looking forward to pics!
You may want to check out Steve Maxwell's in Naperville if possible also if you haven't already.
Well my family is from Chicago and my sister and mom still live there. I however moved up to Wisconsin. But today the wife and I are driving down to Chicago to explore two places I can't believe I've never been too......
1)Vic's Drum Shop
2)Chicago Drum Exchange
Now I'm not in the market to buy anything (but I know I will) but I just want to go check these places out. As social media has grown so large I find them and see photos on Facebook and Instagram and the wall to wall drums and snare drums just make me die inside so I have to go see these places in person.
I'm taking my camera I'll take photos like a true tourist and I can post some up.

Thanks for the pics of some great shops! Congrats on your snare purchases too SpazApproved!
I would need a sleep over room and U-Haul trailer.
Worse, even, not sure I'd know where to begin.
Good Lord!
Signature here
Spaz, there isn't a drum out there that is worth $2K.
Good Lord Spaz, it's a wonder you ever came home - unbelievable drum stores!
I fully agree on that one. But being that I did metalsmithing in college doing a caste bronze without imperfections is no joke....
My sister and wife were literally dragging me out once they saw my collection on the counter getting bigger and my limit I set myself was way offer budget hahahahaha
All I can say is Wow! The snare room is just unbelievable ...
WOW! The acoustic room looks incredible! Not enough sticks though . I saw the Roger Taylor snare in the cabinet. Not a common find where I am! Even if you're not a drummer, it would still be a great experience walking through those shops. Almost like a museum! Beautiful snares! I love the throw offs.
Look at that monster turquoise pearl kit on the shelf in the second last pic of the shop!
