    Default Craviotto....Center...Stage...my "final" kit

hey guys..been a while since my last posts

Things been pretty great and busy for me. I hope you are doing all well. you and your loved ones.

So, in the last few months I grabbed several snares like Tama Warlord Spartan, Yamaha Bamboo and Musashi, a custom bell brass snare.

just last week, I came across a rare chance to snag a kit that I had been dreaming to have. A drum kit made by Craviotto. I really wanted to get their kit no matter its ply or solid. I just thought their snares are state of the art, and the kits must possess the same level of quality and craftmanship.

Fast forward today, I managed to obtained the Craviotto Center Stage kit..which have SOLID maple shells (heckk yeaaaah!). Hte configuration is rather small, but I can live with it Kick is 20x12. Tom is 12x7, and Floor is 14x12.

The followings pics are taken shortly after I opened the boxes in a rush - overflowed by excitement. I used my Iphone 6 cam. no filter. no edit. Havent got time to set it up and take proper pics with DSLR cam. I hope you can catch the "happy moment" level that I had through these pics! let me know your thoughts..

I am sorry if my English is making no-sense. I am just way too happy and also proud! I almost cried.. :D

Your enthusiasm is infectious - and for a good reason! That kit is simply gorgeous. I'll bet the huge sound will belie the sizes of those drums.

EyePea is right, though. I've had my "last, ultimate kit" time and again. Every one of them was great and through the roof with rightness and luxury. And every one of them has been replaced by another.

To me, there is no ultimate last kit. Just enjoy the heck out of the Craviottos!

All the forums I frequent have nothing but great things to say about those drums. I know they're not inexpensive, either.

    Enjoy, brother.

I am actually quite surprised given that I am sort of "okay" with the drums being this small..maybe because of age factor..haha. thanks!

I think you'll really grow to like those sizes. Great for gigging. Craviotto brags about the tuning range of their shells, so you should be in great shape.

Beautiful, I know exactly how the "smell" thing works. I still remember the smell of my new Gretsch kit back in '82.

However, I agree with GDMoore, you have a psychological condition, you crave things and once you satisfy the craving, it may last a couple weeks, but there will be a "next must have" on your list. Look forward to seeing it.

Those are magnificent. I've always wanted a Craviotto kit. So pricey, but, I'm sure well worth it. If I ever did spring for such a kit, it would never leave the music room. Enjoy!

thanks bro for the 'encouragement'. as I grow older (and more mature), probably (i said probably) it automatically link with smaller size for drum shell preference --> not a valid theory but can be considered..LOL Thanks!

In all seriousness, if you have the Rolls-Royce of drum sets, where can you go from there?!
Even the classic Cadillac's like Gretsch and dW aren't going to cut it any more.

    I suppose

    all the best...

I was thinking that to. It's like climbing a mountain, reaching the peak and then....now what?.
One thing we all learn; GAS doesn't go away. It can't be bought. It can't be reasoned with. It will never stop until we're all dead, broke, divorced or all three . My suggestion would be to buy a cheap old kit and have fun restoring/customizing it.
