Different heads really can make a difference. What did you have before and what type of drum did you install it on?

I just spent several months trying different batter heads on my Pearl Masters maples and every different head type made a huge impact on the tone of the toms. I've gone through clear and coated emperors, hydraulics and clear G1s. I think I'm going to stick with the coated emperors or the G2s. Waiting for the budget to get back to normal first.

I've been partial to Evans for quite some time now. Keep hearing good things about Remo. Might need to just try some. What drums did you put them on and what did you have before. What do you like better?

    Congrats!

I use the clear PS3 on my bass drum...I just prefer the sound of a single-ply head on my bass and snare drums.

PS Pro is a great head.

    Cheers.
