    Default 30th Birthday Gift!

So my 30th birthday is coming up (12/4) and my fiancé decided to give me her gift a little early. She did all of the research herself, listened to sound clips, asked questions over time to figure out my tastes, saved up the money and then she blindsided me with a surprise early gift... She got me an 8x14 Brady Jarrah ply snare with silver sparkle lacquer!!! I was truly in awe! I had no idea she was doing this! Needles to say it looks and sounds insane! I'll get some pics up soon! I'm still stunned that she did this and that I have a Brady snare!

Woah! That is an awesome gift. She is a keeper.
BTW welcome to the 30 club. I'll be 33 16DEC Nothing like being in the early 30's. According to the military, we are at our physical peak as far as strength and agility. Use that to your advantage.

Congrats! Any gal can spend lots of money on a gift, but one that does all the research on something like a drum, to pick one that has a sound that fits you, is a rare thing. 30th birthday? Someone should give you a towel to dry with....your still wet behind your ears. So......a fabulous new snare, an amazing girl and only 30yrs old? You are indeed a lucky man!

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
