Got a white, Kickport (had to make my existing port 1/4" bigger, today), set of Remo coated heads(got an extra 14" in the deal).
Thanks to my lovely wife I recieved a Tama Artwood Birch 6.5"X14" Snare in red mahogany finish. Laptop is busy updating since I haven't turned it on in a month or more but once it's done I'll upload the pics. I'll tell you now though, it's pretty. Also Santa brought the gloss black hoops and a few of the remaining heads needed to complete the refinishing job on the Premier Projectors. Still missing the 13" tom's batter and the ported bass head (still on back order from Remo) but, getting closer to being complete.

Couldn't really afford to exchange gifts this year. Wife is working tonight. Home alone with pup and did some messing with drum set ups. Life is like that.
MAPEX - SABIAN - PEARL - VIC FIRTH
Picked up a new Iron Cobra hp900 single on clearance from MF for $119 a couple weeks back. I think I actually like the plastic-side beater off my stock Tama powerglide better though.
Maybe I'll buy a rubber or wood head for the cobra, but many have written that the rubber head tends to work loose too often.
I've finally managed to break the shackles of Christmas... man!, I feel so free!
No tree, no decorations, no presents, just a nice dinner and an acoustic jam session with some friends.
I think Christmas, though it may have started with good intentions, has gotten way out of control.
all the best...
Same here Kay no tree, decorations , no presents. We buy so much during the year that we don't need more for Xmas. Just the wife, dog and I sitting in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot coffee/cocoa and some Xmas treats relaxing watching good Xmas movies. Now that is what I call a wonderful Xmas day.
"The Ludwig Book" and "The Slingerland Book", both by Rob Cook ...
Here's some pics of the new Tama Artwood snare, as promised.

Still waiting on the 13" ebony suede emporer and the 22" ported bass head that are both on backorder from Remo but, we are dang near there.
Rok Soc throne from my Mrs.
No. Apparently I have all the drum stuff that I need. On the upside, it was a very Harley Christmas.
I got a 20 dollar bill to do as I please with . If I use it to get a drum head or something then it would be drum related . As soon as the guest leave I'm going out and see what becomes of it ... this thing is burning a hole in my pocket .

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
A nice $25 gift certificate from the bookstore. Time to buy a couple of new LPs and give the turntable a good workout.

My bday and Xmas are only 12 days apart and I usually get money.... So with my new found (somewhat) wealth I'll be getting a Mapex Blade snare...but if theres a great deal on a Machete I might do that....but I love the crack of the Blade.
