I'll take two ...with a side of bacon .
It's time to flip the one in the skillet.
That explains why it's called a BATTER head.......

hHAHAHAHA nice work
Lol. I guess that's one way to put the drums to work.
I'd throw it on the left side of the kit. About all they are good for if you have a 16" ft

Damping a pre-damped head? Why?

Guess it wasn't dampened enough to my liking so I had dampened it more. I want to do the 14" FT also. Normally I use a 12" tom on that holder and the 16" FT. At this point, the 14" is tuned too low. Talk about power toms! I probably will not keep it this way but just playing/experimenting with it for now. The 18" bass drum with it's riser and emad sounds very good.

An EC2 doesn't seem to dampen a 16" a whole lot.

Then it's a bad/misleading design.. If i'm buying a 2 ply head with what appears to be dampening rings built into it, i'm expecting to hear a pre-damped sound because of it. Otherwise, what's the point?

In my experience with them, they (EC2) eliminate some of the higher frequency ring and overtones. Not much different than a Pinstripe. On smaller drums, like 10" & 12", they do tend to muffle or dampen it and shorten the decay. On larger drums like a 16"FT, there's still quite a bit of "rumble" left and a drawn out decay. I'm guessing just due to the larger mass and momentum of the head. I almost always use some form of additional dampening on my floor tom...and usually more than on the other toms. That's just my personal take on it.

+1
I often use EC2's and find that whilst the hi-freq overtones are more or less dealt with, I like a little more control over the decay and lower-freq overtones. This is a personal taste issue and not an either or. IMO, there are principals to follow when it comes to tuning and head choice but not hard and fast rules. The variables are too great to work with a rule based approach.
