I had a guitar player that liked my heavy hands, but then asked me to turn my drums to the left because he was having trouble singing and playing. Somehow the correlated to my drums being too loud.

You're not too loud, the guitarist just needs more amplifiers.

I always find it strange when you can hear your guitarist clear as day, yet they can't hear themselves.

They should make an amplifier remote control and hand it to the drummer.

That way, the drummer could just turn down the guitar amps.

Believe it or not, there actually is a scientific reason for that.

I prefer it a bit quiet on stage, about 70 dB. Let the PA system put the big sound out to the audience.

Yep. If you'll notice, a lot of big concert acts only play through 30 or 50 watt amps like old Fenders and such. They get the sound they want and then let the mikes and PA do the rest.

Well...my drumstick , when I throw it at the guy when he gets too loud , is sort of my remote .
