Hey thanks Rick! I appreciate the shout out.

You may be a 'bit' past 43, but you can still out play any young 'whipper snapper'.

    Happy B-day, Tex!

Our guitar player brought his Dad to practice yesterday. He warned us the he may have trouble getting up and down the basement stairs because "he's getting pretty old". I asked how old "pretty old" is, to which he replied, "well, he was born in 1960"......LOL. I said, "you DO realize that 3 of us in the band are older than that, and I'm not that far behind him, and we haul the equipment up and down those same stairs, right?"

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Thanks again everyone. The past four days have set a new benchmark to which all future birthdays will be measured against.

Thursday night started with us headlining at our most favorite venue, Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi, Tx. Love that place. There were three bands ahead of us, an amazing crowd, and we all played very well that night (can't take those for granted).
Here is a picture from the night.

Well after Thursday's gig I drove to a good buddies ranch where we hunted, fished, had countless campfires, drank many 'fingers' of scotch, didn't shower for three days, and then I went home to spend my actual birthday with my three most favorite girls in the world (after a much needed shower).

It definitely set a new bar for birthdays. I had to come back to work, so I could get some rest.

    Appreciate everyone of you...
