My band is only 3 people, my guitar player does double duty singing and playing. He's also thinking about getting a loop pedal so he can play lead and rythmn.
Mapex Saturn 6 pc
14x6 mapex stainless steel snare
Zildjian,Paiste, Meinl
DW5000 td4 double pedal
I hate to say this but I think your drunken guitarist belongs in a Punk band where they get high, yell, curse, throw things at the fans and this is acceptable but not in your band Bridie. Get rid of him.
If any musician needs to get drunk , high or buzzed in anyway to perform then that is a musician i would not waste my time working with. Sooner or later it will bite you in the bum.
Birdie a lot of us have been on this forum for years, we have seen your progress behind the kit and I think you are becoming a fine drummer. I'd hate to see you waste valuable time working with musicians that do not take their craft as seriously as you do.

Hi,
Update is...
We are a 3 piece again !
We decided he was not worth it
We like to have fun, but We are serious about our music
And hate to let people or ourselves down , so that's what's been going on.
I told the guys about the feelings about it on here and feel better now we have decided
He is out!
Bring on the festivals
Bridie
Thank you
Someone who acts like that is a clown, if you let them get away with it you end up being their ringmaster.

"We don't stop playing because we grow old.
We grow old because we stop playing."
"I wish that my playing reminded people of Steve Gadd. But they seem to confuse me with his little known cousin... E."
"Snare drums happen."
You're well shut of him Bride. Having pre-gig nerves and drinking too much is hardly ideal - but getting totally plastered, getting you banned from the gig and punching walls is really disturbing.
You never know what people who are prone to alcohol fuelled temper tantrums are likely to do - I wouldn't want this guy anywhere near me or my equipment. One thing is for sure, you and the rest of the band don't need this guy - you did the right thing by firing him.
Good luck with the three piece
Excellent news! I'm so glad to hear it, rock on 3 piece!!
I suspect that you will meet some other musicians soon.
