I was an impressionable kid, what can I say ? I was fascinated by both drums and monkeys ! The Bingster just brought it all together for me, with his simple 4-piece set.. just h/h and one crash-ride... and that big happy 3-tooth grin that never changed. I even sent away Kelloggs box-tops to join the Banana Splits Fan Club. Got a membership card, a secret decoder, and two 7" Banana Split EP's ... 4 songs on each record !

Sad day it was when Bingo bought the ranch. Many a weekend afternoon spent in my late teens early 20s plopped in front of the tOOb in my "smoking" jacket immersed in The Bingsters drum stylings and off the wall capers. You are missed Bingy.
