Yea at his age and history he is lucky to be alive !
I wonder if he is still in financial trouble and needed to keep gigging .
I was never a fan of his but I do have a good amount of respect for what he has accomplished and all the people he influenced . And I never met the guy but the consensus is that he is a sour old grump quick to take a swing at you . Be that as it may , he is a human being , I hope he can find peace in his retirement and God bless him .

I'm told by one of his friends that he has Aortic Stenosis - making the surgery he needs very risky.

Yep............I still can't believe he outlived Jack Bruce.
I did a clinic with him about 1988............below are two photos from that day.
First photo is taken at the music store while tuning and setting up the kit.
