    I got my DW 9000 double pedal with all the accessories and in new condition for .... $200 !

    And if you're trying cymbals, try them with some loud music playing.
    If you hit cymbals in a quiet room all you hear are the overtones, you don't get a feel for how they sound in a mix.

    I say play what sounds good to you. Keep the crash ride and save up for an upgrade. I play a 22" Zildjian pino ride with a 1 1/2 Crack on the edge. Sounds great to me, I picked it up for $35.
