Put it on all of them . One at a time of coarse...
I was selected to test out one of the new Evan Prototype heads and give my feedback on it. It is a one ply head with a new type of coating but the edges aren't coated and it uses a whitish opaque film. I wasn't told the thickness or anything. I'm trying to decide which snare to try it out on. My current snares are in my signature.
Any suggestions?

What he said. Try it on all your snares
I think you should try it on a more common snare drum like an Acrolite or an MIJ metal or lauan wood snare drum.
I am testing this head also on a Tama Hammered Phosphor Bronze snare and love it, #EvansEXP. The plastic is very warm, the coating just right. Sounds fantastic recorded. I hope they make this head - wonder what it would sound like on Toms.
What about the coating?
My biggest beef with Evans is the heads damage very easily.

I've been playing it for 1 week about 2 - 3 hours a day, the coating is perfect. Head almost is resisting dirt ;-)
remo has always used the white opaque film on the coated emps, , ambs, and dips. When the coating wears off you aren't looking at the floor through the drum like with Evans. (the regular Evans)
all the best...
Dirtysticks and Seforeman, how did you guys score that opportunity?

Was in an email I received. Beta tested Drumsticks for Pro-mark (same parent company) the same way.
That's very cool you were selected to Beta test for Evans. I'd follow Oli's advice and test the med and low cost snares.
Actually I choose the snare I did because I purchased it used - and have tried 4 different heads before this one, and never like the sound of the snare. But now with this head, this snare has become one my favorites.
