    Default What a find!

    Hello everyone,

Look at what my drum teacher found in the school. It layed around unused for years with some old drumset, actually this cymbal was the only thing worth something there
What do you think how old that is? It is a Paiste 2002 15" sound edge hi hat with black ink stamp (i have only seen red in person yet). On the inside it also states some numbers according to the countries and there is still USSR so I suppose it is older than me

Hmm. What a find! 2002s were introduced in 1971 I believe. (Sound edges date from about 4 years earlier.) Others on forum may be able to place this one given the multi-country production mark.

    Sweet
    Those are awesome.
    15" Bonham sized yet.
Yes, I used the name "Bonham" cause that's why they're more sought after.
Like a $600 set of hats there.

Yep, most likely from the '70's. I have an 18" 2002 crash and a 22" 2002 medium ride. Both are original black label from the '70's. Outstanding cymbals. They sound fantastic for country swing/blues/rock. Nice score!

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Ask the school if you can buy them, they probably don't know their worth. Looks like they haven't been used too much, really nice
