I've always thought that being able to delete posts would be a nice feature to have available.

If you click "Edit" on your post, there's an option to delete it. Don't know if it works to delete entire threads, though.

I'm a Freud to post this but here goes. Ignore the mistakes. I was assigned these 2 of 5 songs on Tuesday to have ready for my audition Friday. (later today)

Don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight as well as having to work all day and then skeedaddle 45 minutes to the rehearsal site. I may not survive the day.

So here's two songs with the new cam. Again, a bit over driving. I'm still dialing in the settings on the camera.

Sounds very good bud, Kit sounds awesome as well. Just an observation but I notice how your right leg bounces even when not hitting bass drum, I do the same thing but with my left leg on hats. Who sings that 1st song that was pretty good? Good luck with the audition, sounds like you should be all set. How did you record this? Sounds like just a camera in the corner recording music and your drums in the room? No latency issues either.

Good job. Once you got past the first 10 or 15 seconds, you seemed to settle in nicely. Good luck with the audition. You'll do fine.

Yeah, that right leg never stops. LOL! I have to apologize because I'm not familiar with the artists or the song names just yet.

This was recorded with the mic about 5 feet from the kit, PA speakers were about 2 foot away and about 4 feet above the camera mics. All ambient audio. PA was supporting the audio through my laptop into the mixer. Drums were just room temperature.

Coming in on the beginnings is tricky with the recordings since there is no pre count. Since I missed the intro I just played it in the first 4 bars just to show I can. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

    Thanks, LG!

I will say that the camera is very proximity reliant. I've tried it in several places to find where it picks up everything evenly. As you move the camera around the kit, it definitely picks up the objects closer to the camera better.

Where you guys saw it was where it seemed to pick up everything fairly evenly.

If you've ever used a GoPro, I'd like to get your take on a comparison. I've been pretty satisfied with the results from the GoPro, but, I've got nothing to compare it to really.

I wrestled with which one to get. I based my decision on the research that the Zoom was better suited for audio while the GPro was better suited for the video considerations.

Who knows. Once I get over the sticker shock I may get a GPro, as well.

It just depends on your #1 requirements. But I don't know how the GPro handles audio. I have seen some videos and they sound fine.

If they were to make a Zoom-GPro, we'd be set.

That spinning stick trick thing....I didn't even know I did it until I watched the video. Glad I didn't drop a stick in the process.
