    Default Deja Vu

This project is taking forever to get up and running but I think it will be worth the wait. Great group of players doing mostly 80's covers. No pics or video yet.

We have everything recorded (living room studio) and a few things posted.

It seems to be the standard rock and roll red/blue, green/blue combo

The most challenging creative parts of building the light shows was choosing the color schemes.

Most things seemed to want to naturally default to that Red/Blue base but I did quite a few red, red/yellow based and one green based show. A few were straight red, blue green.

It is fun and interesting but it gets tedious. I am just about done with all 40 songs. I can't do it for more than a couple hours at a time and it takes that long do do one song.

I play in a 80s/90s cover band (female lead vox) and I noticed that we do four of the songs on your list..............some good stuff.
I like the lighting you are using -- looks good.
Why do you have a French Drain in front of the kit ?
    Gretsch USA & Zildjian

Your entire set list is great man, a lot of my favorites except for beat it and I am guessing it is not a Michael Jackson song cause it sure does not fit in your list.

I built an apparatus to distribute the fog more effectively. I use a bathroom exhaust fan to push the the fog into the slotted drain tubing. It keeps it in the air longer than if it comes straight out of the fogger.

It kind of fits. Although it's super pop, from the king of pop, it's 80's and features Eddie Van Halen

I would agree it fits. The crowd loves it and it always guarantees dancers. Especially when you start the drums and it just gets people up or feet tapping.

    Winning.

Did not know Van Allen was in that song. Learn something everyday I guess. Probably because I was not into the pop music.

Only song on that list that we cover is Dead or Alive....which, BTW, sounds awesome with a pedal steel and mandolin, LOL.

We had two young ladies (about 23ish years old) approach the stage Saturday night and said, "Can you guys play something in the'80's? We want to dance!". Our lead singer said, "Well, I'm almost in my 80's...will that work?". They just looked at us dumbfounded for about 5 seconds, then the blonde girl said, "Hey....are you guys making fun of us?". I almost spit my beer out my nose all over my snare, LOL. We told them we play some Tom Petty, John Melloncamp, Black Crows, Hootie & The Blowfish and Georgia Satellites, but they still weren't happy. Oh well, what did they expect from a band with "Honka-Billy-Grass" on the bass drum head? We're talking about working up some ZZ Top, AC/DC, Pearl Jam & STP...just for that reason.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

I think I will secure it to the perimeter of the drum riser
