Hey, so any recommendations on improving speed, specifically transitioning from 16ths to 32nds or 8th to 16th triplets as you might do in fills.
Ideally, something i can easily just memorize and practice ad infinitum...
danke!

Singles, doubles, and paradiddles. Move them around the drums at various speeds.
Some people think I'm fast around the set. That's all I've ever done to get that way.
everything you play can be 32nds at the right tempo
Anyhow, for this type of exercise I typically alternate between a bar of sixteenths then a bar of 32nds.. alternate with a metronome on. I would NOT suggest starting slow and continually playing faster without a metronome. That is unless you are stopping, then starting on a new tempo. I would suggest starting slow with a metronome.. stopping, then upping the tempo by 5-10 whatever, then starting over. I hope this makes sense.
