Default Great gigs are what makes it all worthwhile

Played a great set last night in San Francisco. Quirky little place called Doc's Lab.
We had a lot of fun and felt great on stage. Had my son and one of my nephews attend, so that added to the fun.
The rewrapped Tamas sounded great. Though, they had dropped significantly in pitch after sound check due to a very warm room. My son said they still projected well and the 18x14 kick thumped mightily.

Included the before rewrap shot as a reminder to how they looked before I got my hands on them.

    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

So....you're saying you celebrate a great gig with pancakes the next morning? If you include bacon, then that's a REAL celebration!

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

    Wrap looks great!
You might want run a cloth over that bass drum.
And it's not a celebration at all without bacon!

crazy how much different drums sound in different rooms!

    OMG!! That's freaking hysterical!!
Photobucket has confused my links. Though I definitely clicked on the pic from my gig, they gave you the shot of my old gigging floor tom being used as in my kitchen?!
I shall try to eradicate the situation.

Here is the shot from my gig Sunday night, if Photobucket doesn't screw it up again.
I deleted the image it mistakenly put up earlier.

That's the old factory blue wrap. It was soooo beat up and scuffed and scratched. Now it's a one-of-a-kind kit. Beginner Tama shells sound great with good heads on em. And, between the kit and the wrap, I barely spent $300.

I just had an idea. I'll have BumWrap make me custom drum wraps from images of BACON! Everyone likes it and everything is better when wrapped in bacon.

Didn't mind the blue in principle, just looked a little dusty.
New wrap is way sexier, but yeah, bacon would be tasty.

Love that wrap, Kit looks amazing! And for barely $300? Can't "beat" it and yet you can. Lol
