    Default History of drumming

Last night I watched on youtube all 15 parts of history of drumming. It's put on by vic firth. Starts out 1865-1964 and the narrator is Daniel Glass. I learned a lot from that video and thought it would be interesting to share it with you all.

    Keep drumming

    I'll have to watch these!

One of my students started asking a whole bunch of history questions the other day. I wonder if this would hit some of those.

I've known Daniel for over five years, he is a great player, great teacher and an all around good guy. He did a clinic a few years back locally using my DWs. I'd post a photo, but Photobucket doesn't seem to be working for me right now.

His knowledge and passion about drums and drumming is genuine and contagious.

I bought the DVD of the Century Project when it came out, it is a valuable look into music history for anyone interested in drums or music in general.
