Faded (yellowing) pearl wrap restoration

I just took possession of a 2nd-hand drum set. Has some heavy "yellowing" of the white pearl wrap. It doesn't overly bother me, but if there are some tips I can try to restore a little whiteness that would be great.

Not sure...but maybe it's the same UV/plastic reaction that causes auto headlights to turn yellow(?) You could try (*at your own risk) progressively finer sanding, followed by polishing with something like Plast-X made for headlights.

Actually, the "aged" Pearl look is pretty sweet in my opinion.

Thanks Brian. I also like the "aged" look; but would mind at least attempting to restore a little whiteness back on them.

Maybe try a little polishing compound.
It worked good for me.

I'm not sure it made it much whiter but it had cleaned up nicely.
