Default Anyone heard of Thunder*****? =^•.•^=

Hi, the other night my band were the support for Thunder*****.
They were pretty cool, and Ruby used my kit.
It was nice to hear it out the front, all miked up it sounded nice, even the sound man said it was 'sweet'
I had a eek moment when Whitney & Leah put their feet on my bass drum! But it was all good.
They are from Seattle. Anyone heard of them?!

    And me :P

I have never heard of them, but I can relate to the experience of getting to hear your own kit from out front. As long as the other drummer plays with a similar style, it's information you can't get any other way.
As a recent jam party, I immediately dropped down about 2 feet in front of my kick to hear it for the first time. Vastly different than what you hear from the driver's seat.
I must say, mine sounded really good. lol
Congratulations on your first successful backlining experience. Getting a thumbs-up from the other drummer and the sound guy is the whole goal.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

I haven't heard of them either, but I don't know what their full band name is due to the censor. I'd like to find them on the web and listen to their music.

Regardless, congrats on a great night. Looks like an awesome experience all around.

I think you can extrapolate the name, based on them all being gals and their being five asterisks in the name
As far as hearing my own drums, yes it was a great experience. I taught the sound guy how to eq drums and they sounded kick asterisk.
Always reassuring that you're on the right track.

i didn't realize it would be censored,
it is another name for a cat, by the way.
we had a good chat after the show, and they were asking me about high school and grades, but we were getting confused because of
the differences between UK and US!
hers a link to their twitter :0)

Never heard of them either Bridie. Is that drum head yours or theirs. I bet you if they called themselves Kitty Arses that would be acceptable here on DC cause the computer would not recognize it as a bad word just sayin.
