Help on Yamaha FP9410 drum pedal!
Hey, new to this thread! I played the Axis pedals for many years but after a decade of not playing at all, recently have reunited with my band and had to pick up a bunch of drum equipment STAT! anyways, got a yamaha FP9410 pedal at a local used music store but can't for the life of me figure out how this thing clamps onto the bass drum hoop! Yamaha has nothing on their website.....I know I'm having a total brain fart on this one, but have never played anything like this set up! anyone know exactly the best way to clamp this onto the bass drum? how I had it, the bass drum came off the floor at least a couple of inches, so I know it wasn't right.......for the time being I just have it screwed into my carpet in front of the bass drum, but not clamped onto it! is this pedal worth it? it feels okay, any ideas on how this thing works and also what that front plastic piece is for? guess I'm old school!

okay so here is what you have to do
(with the L-shaped lever up)
you should adjust the actual clamp tounge so that it sits just off of the hoop
then flip the L-shaped lever down
it should tighten it
if not
then re-adjust the tounge and try again
play with it
youll get it
good pedal =]
