I want to practice late at night but I don't want to disturb my neighbors. Should I use my sound percussion pads on my kit to practice? And what are the benefits?

    Keep drumming

the mute pads? yea they work great. as long as you aren't in an apartment you should be OK. Benefits? quiet drums. Bounce is a little more dead so it will prob help with your wrist strength too.

The pads work great, but the bass drum may still be a problem unless you stuff a big quilt inside---and don't leave them on the drums or the cymbals when you aren't using them---they will stain white or clear heads, and turn your cymbals black

I have a kit with Remo Silent Stroke heads and Zildjian L80 cymbals. I use it for late night practice. I can play when my kids are sleeping no problem.
I actually wanted to be a drummer, but I didn't have any drums. SRV

    DW Collectors Series
    Yamaha Tour Custom Moto X
    DW9000 Pedals

I use Aquarian super pads on the toms and snare and a bass drum practice pad with Zildjian low volume cymbals and they work great!
