Great hard to get sizes and a tremendous sound, one of Yamaha's master pieces.
Which finish are you looking to buy?

thanks for the reply...the finish is "dark wood".
(I've been using a Sonor Champion jazz kit since the late 70's - love the drums, but just looking for something new/different to hit.)
I've never played this particular series but any Japanese made Yamaha is always on point. Those sizes generally fetch a pretty penny on the used market, I'd go for it!
Great drums... it's a shame Yamaha only made them for a few years... hopefully a series that will make a comeback in their China manufacturing facility...
Bought the kit in Dark Wood, 12/14/18 plus snare...shipping today
Best production drums Sakae ever made for Yamaha IMHO. Kapur shells are actually harder than Rock Maple according to the Janka scale. Lightweight 1.6mm triple flange hoops, low mass lugs . They sound great with almost any head combination. I owned two Swirl Black kits and sadly they were sacrificed to help finance a PHX kit ( no regrets - the PHX is incredible).
They are not the loudest drums and they do have a vintage vibe sonically.
