Roland SPD-30 question
For those of you who use a Roland SPD-30, I have a question.
I have my SPD-30 set up to trigger electronic sounds to layer over my acoustic sounds. I built some custom kits on the Octapad to maximize the triggering potential, and it works well, except for one thing. When I want to go back to playing the pads on the SPD-30 in the usual way, for auxiliary sounds, building loops, etc. -- basically, using it to play sounds *along side* the acoustic kit, rather than layering sounds over the acoustic sounds -- the triggers on my toms and bass drum end up triggering sounds I don't want. What I'm wondering is whether there's a quick and easy way to mute the triggers, something other than pulling the cords out of the back (which isn't very convenient for going back and forth between triggering and not triggering).
Any ideas?
