    Default RIP John Wetton

John Wetton passed away January 31, 2017.

He was one of the top vocalist/bass players during the 70s & 80s.
Known for prog, but also fluent in pop and classic rock, a very versatile and capable musician and songwriter.

Arguably, we have lost the top three vocalists/bassists of the 70s prog-era in the last 18 months..............

    Chris Squire -- June, 2015
    Greg Lake -- December, 2016
    John Wetton -- January, 2017

Wetton played on (IMO) the top King Crimson albums ever released............it was because of his contributions, along with Bruford, that made these albums the best of KC.

Later, he was the voice of ASIA and played with Palmer and Howe in that band.

I also have a DVD of the Tokyo Tapes with Hackett wherein Wetton is a standout.

    He was considered a top-notch player/singer/composer.
    Gretsch USA & Zildjian
(What Else Would I Ever Need ?)
