Solid kit. Great color. Unbeatable price. Well done. I've got one. A 12,14,16, with a 24" virgin kick in Red Sparkle. I got mine for $200 (and I thought that was a great deal!). I've gigged it several times and it looks and sounds great on stage. You got yourself a killer deal!

Great score. Those shells and that wrap is sweet! I'm amazed at some of the Pawn shop deals you guys find. The Pawn shops around here are crazy expensive.

Thanks. They are a little beat up, but nothing some TLC can't handle

Thanks. I'm looking to convert these to an e-kit. Currently using my DWs.

Thanks. Yep, they have been taped to death. I'm pretty sure they will sound great with good heads, if I don't convert them

Thanks. Not sure, but she said they had the hardware and cymbals but they were already gone. Wish I would have seen them earlier

Normally it's that way here too. I think the kit just took up too much space and they wanted it gone

PDP are offshore aren't they? Were they made in Mexico at one time? I know the Performance Series were constructed in Mexico prior to being brought to Oxnard.

For a brief time, some of the PDP shells used (don't remember what series) were from the same Mexico plant. Basically, DW shells. I've seen 2 sets that had "made in Mexico" right on the badge. In both cases, the drums were badged as "Pacific Drum & Percussion" and not "PDP". Not sure if they were all that way or not or what series they were.

The MIM shells are gems for a bargain. Their quality was so far above their price that DW scrapped the whole plant, brought them back to Oxnard and turned them into the Performance line. Essentially, a MIM CX/MX/LX or Platinum kit is a Performance kit. They changed the ply configuration from standard toHVX or HLVX or whichever, but 8 ply maple with 45 edges made in the same presses. They're are real steal when you can find them. $100 with a desirable wrap is the steal of a lifetime!
