I putnew heads on my Mapex kit then set it up outside to hear what it sounded like. My 8 year old is wanting to learn, so I told him to sit down!

Definitely never to young... As soon as Harper can handle sticks I'll let her smack away at my practice kit! I can't wait!

I don't think he did too bad for his first time behind a kit.

Tried to get my son to play drums when he was 4 or 5, but he didn't want anything to do with it! Now he's 17 and plays trumpet, guitar, mandolin & fiddle. I'm OK with that....I guess.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

I had a co-worker his daughter moved in with him after 23 years of living with her mother. The second week at his house she started playing his drums. During all the visitations she never had a interest. Now she plays all the time and not to bad. You just never know.
