Your son has marriage counselor written all over him.
I got called at the last minute to do a gig last night. Wife wanted an evening at home, but I told her about the phone call and how I was needed. She said she really wish I could stay home. My 9 year old said "You'll get over it when daddy comes home with that money tonight." I about lost it, and that broke the ice. She told me to go play lol

I never tell my wife or son how much I make on a gig. The money I make gets "rat-holed" and I use it for G.A.S.. I also use it for groceries and stuff we need if money is tight. Plus, the wife would be mad if she knew how little it pays, LOL.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
omg that is hilarious! I can't wait to hear all the funny things my daughter will say when she can speak.
Good kid!
I'm thinking about hiring him as my manager.
Promoter - "Sir, I'm not sure we can afford your band this weekend."
Son - "You'll get over it once they begin playing and pack your building out!"
