Hey man, we have the same setup! I have been using the Evans EMAD 2 on my kick for about a year now, and I use Remo's on everything else. I use the narrow damper pad and my bass just thunders if I want it to. Absolutely love it! One of the best on the market in my opinion.

SAME! i found the large damner took away the sound alot. but it definaitly does thunder away. btw 1drumbum, whats the second foamy thing that goes on the EMAD reso port hole? does that effect the sound at all? i didnt notice anything.

I love my Emad as well. Good stuff.

I also like the Aquarian super kick II on my Sonor kit.

I don't use the EMAD reso, just the batter. I use the stock Pearl reso with an Evans EQ Gate velcroed to the inside pushing against the reso a little.

    yah dude rock on
    with a pre muffled head
you get a great sound if you muffle the reso only
it hits you right in the chest

Exactly my set up...Pinstripes on toms and that beast on the bass. Only stock Evans reso with the Gretsch bass drum

Gotta love the EMAD II - have it on my bass - absolutely booooooooming sound. Evans G2's on the toms and a G1 on the snare.
