Having left this alone for a couple of days, I had to ask: Why would you think that the fact that I found it interesting translated into "rubbish".

If I had to "critique" what you put up, I would just say that I wish they were longer. (And people wish mine were shorter).

"Always trying to improve". That's what I like to hear because I know all to many musicians that reach a certain level and are content to stay where they are. That put's you on the + side of my book.

It's like when your wife says, "Does this dress make my butt look big?" and you answer, "I really like the color."

What do you do if it does make her butt look big and you don't like the color?

This sums it up quite well. "Interesting" has somehow transferred into a derogatory term over the years, and with the written communication that is the internet and this thread, makes it sound more so.

However, you didn't mean for it to translate into that so thanks.

And I think it's always important for anyone to grow on their instrument. We will never fully stop learning or know everything about our instrument as there is infinite information to learn.

If I say that anything that you (or anybody else) does, is interesting, it means I like it.
I still learn things (or try to) and I've been at this for almost 61 years.
