Oh man that was awesome. So much control. Snare sounded great too. How long ago was this?

Awesome warm up! Complete control, and I agree with FlyByNight, the snare sounded like a beast.
WOW that's very impressive Rick, I have never played anything that long without screwing it up eventually after 2-3 minutes. Snare sounds good like, how would you describe it? Oh yeah a snare : )

Outside of my 1st set of drums (Kents with a wood snare) I used (at gigs) nothing but Supras or Black Beauty Super Sensitive's. If you look at the head, you can see the popsicle stick I've mentioned a few times. It takes the ring out of metal snares yet they still stay crisp. By the way, that was done on a Acrolite.
If the rims on the Acrolite look dark, it's because I replaced them with black rims.
Huh, I dont see a popsicle stick and do not think I have heard that one before, how does that work?

what flavor was the popsicle? Does that effect anything? :P
All metal snare drums have a certain amount of ring to them. I hated that sound. The popsicle stick goes back about 55 years when I got my 1st set of Ludwigs. They came with a Supraphonic snare. I tuned that snare to get that crisp snare sound, BUT, when I hit a rim shot, I got this ring that drove me nuts. If I tuned it out, I killed the sound of the snare. The popsicle idea came, oddly enough, after I had a popsicle. I let it dry, broke it in 1/2 and taped it to the head. When I found the right distance from the rim (approx. 3") the ring was gone yet I still had my snare sound. Been using them ever since. You don't see that white spot under the head between where my right and left hands fall. The stick plus the fact that all my rim shots are hit about 3 1/2" down on the stick where their is more meat has let me play 10,000+ gigs with probably less than 50 pairs of sticks, and those sticks were replaced because they started to splinter, mainly from hi-hat work.
I broke a stick playing about 3 years ago. I mentioned it in 1 of my videos that it was the 1st stick I broke playing in about 40 years.

Wow Rick amazing control man. My wrists were killing me just from watching you go. I heard Frosty's intro at first lol.
It's a single stroke roll with rim shots and a steady beat on the BD. It's not even a fast roll, just a steady 1. 1 of the 1st things you learn is a single stroke roll. I mean no sarcasm, but any drummer with 2-3 years experience should be able to do that with no problem.
