I'm thinking it might be valuable and old because of the engraving on it.. Most modern gongs don't have all that on it.
A guy near me has this Gong cymbal for sale, I can't tell just what the size is but you can see his foot in the picture so I'm guessing it's between 25" to 30" around.. Just wonder how much you think its worth. He's selling it pretty cheap. So I will probably buy it, Just wondering how much I could flip it for.http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/...pssgqvbtom.jpg http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/...ps11bg4nik.jpg

If you get that for 50 bucks you got a hell of a deal. Not sure how much they are worth but sounds like a good deal if he agrees. Good luck
Well I bought. I think I will now build a scrolly wrought iron stand for it.Anyways.. Get it on,bang a gong,..get it on!
I've never seen anything like that. looks more like a serving platter than a gong. How do you mount it? I don't see any holes.
I think your right,, It doesn't have holes it has a bracket soldered on the back.. while it does have some gong like qualities, I agree I think it was once some sort of serving tray, The thing is freaking huge though like 30 to 35 inches across.. Oh well hehe. I tried to score one..Bang the crap out of it,dinner is served! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL2r6E1E7sM
