Been there, done that. Usually at a gig in the middle of a song. Then you do the old “one handed groove” alternating between snare & hats while you try to reach the stick with your other hand. After I realize it’s way beyond reach, I then remember......I have other sticks in the bag hanging off my floor tom, LOL.
