2 shooter's from the forum called me to ask what cue I was using. I told them what I had sent down from Jersey and was using.
1 of them said to me "pic's or you don't have that cue".
So here it is.
You pay for the name. I had a Cuetec 20oz 13mm shaft sent down with the Balabushka (the Balabushka is 19 1/2 oz with a 13mm shaft). Both have Moori medium tips.
The difference in $ is $625, yet they both play the same.

I tell you what.. when I was obsessed with playing Pool I couldn't believe how expensive some of those cue's were... and then they all had different purposes. It's amazing you don't realize how much they all make a difference until you really get into it.
Kinda like drumming and sticks preferences.
I've used pool cues to play drums before. Cymbal chokes are the most difficult.

That Balabushka I bought about 5 years ago for $750. The family had given (sold) the rights to use the name.
I have a "real" Balabushka stored in my friends house ( a heavy shooter) that is worth anywhere from 10K all the way up to 45K for some earlier rare models.
I bought it about '72 for $1,500. It was made in 1957 and is easily worth 15-20K today. It's like having a split window '63 Vette.
Side Note: About 10 years ago Jennifer Chen used a custom built cue with diamond inlays. Cost-$35,000. She lost to Allison Fisher who was using her "name" cue. Price- $125. About 15 years ago, I asked Kim Shaw, who was ranked 8th in the world at that time, if Ally really used that $125 Allison Fisher stick, and she said "yes, she does, disgusting isn't it."
Straight and weight, anything past that is cosmetics, and if you can't shoot straight, whatever cue you have will make no difference.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

That's a nice lookin stick but seems a bit too long to be going around the set with. I prefer to sit closer to my snare and toms.........just my own personal preference.
