Love Seeger, I have a copy of live bullet signed by Charlie Allen Martin. Great song Rick!
I was sitting here (with my scotch) listening to songs on you tube and came across this 1. 1 of my favorites of all time.
You want to rock wherever you're playing. Play this.
If this doesn't get them dancing, declare them legally dead and move on.

Yes, I agree I love Bob Seeger and have a few of his albums.
Hit machine, the snare work in that song made the song imo

Slinky, the snare work and the subtle but driving BD work.
Seger: "The chorus to this song came into my head one night in 1977 as I was driving through the Hollywood Hills. Our drummer, David Teegarden, played an entire set of drums as we recorded and overdubbed another entire set of drums playing a different pattern. In other words, there's two sets of everything: snare, kick-drum, hi-hat, etc. Billy Payne (of Little Feat) sat in with us for the first time and played the last two instruments, piano and organ. When he was done, he asked for a tape to listen to on the way home. he called me the next day while he had been listening, he looked down and found himself going 100 miles an hour on the freeway."

Funny....we just added this one not too long ago. Still a work in process.
For the 4th to the last song of a 4 hour show, my stamina is almost spent. I cheated some.
Signature here
We play a few Seeger tunes. Always crowd pleasers.
Sounded fine. It's a great song, definitely 1 of the best from the '70's.
90% of the time, that was our starter for the 3rd set. People that had danced a lot in the 1st 2 sets and thought they might sit out a couple of songs never could with that.
This song became a singalong it a few places
Most people never heard of them but a lot of people liked this song.

Rick I thought you were in a jazz band all this time... I pictured you in jazz clubs all around New York ....

Jazz was the musical love of my life, but R&R was where my money was. I did play in a jazz improvisational band for a year in college and many a jam session in Harlem after hours clubs.
If you have seen any of my videos, I doubt if there is 5 seconds of anything that could be considered R&R drums outside of the video I put up with various patterns that were all done in a R&R setting.
