    Default Bubble wrap ear plugs

Was having a jam the other day and it got a bit loud. Didn't have plugs handy so I tore off a bit of bubble wrap and used that. It worked well.

Looks like it can get you home dry too, and you wouldn't need an airbag in your car. Multipurpose.

I only started using plugs when I resumed playing after a few years off. Sometimes I just use handyman ear muffs for practise. Makes the toms sound like an old Black Sabbath live album I had. Incredible treble when you take them off.

I mention the bubble wrap because it attenuates nicely without killing the sound, and it fits well, and it is a bit cheaper than $50 plugs ...

yeah ear plugs are a definitely must for me.
Nothing worse than forgetting them or not having any left.

I had the funniest visual early picturing bubble wrap coming out your ears.
