    Default Four rednecks covering Prince

My band had a reunion gig last night. Here we are covering ‘When Doves Cry’.

Pretty cool! you made it sound country and it worked! If I was there watching in the club and I didn't know who Prince was, I'd think it was an original song by you guys.

Saw it on FB. Prince was a phenomenal guitarist and musician, but I never cared for his songs. You guys just proved to me that it was just his style I don’t care for. You guy’s nailed it. Nice job.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

That was a great cover for a bunch of rednecks. Randy, the drums were right on the money.

I do have to say that I never played anyplace that asked people to keep their shoes on.

Thanks Rick. It's a fun song. Also, I had to go back and watch it again to catch the 'no shoes' comment. I've played that venue no less than a dozen times and never noticed that sign before..

Randy, I think it may be time for a eye check. If that sign were any bigger, it would be a billboard on the highway.
