Default my new Bish approved DDrum Dominion Kit ;)

So I took a trip down to Bish's Beats Barn a couple weeks ago...
I picked up several goodies from him and had a great time!
Ended up staying for several hours, had a nice talk and shared a couple beers.

Anyways! So here's my latest edition.
I bought it Saturday and took it out gigging Sunday already!

I put a GMAD kick on right away and swapped the hydraulic head to the front. Looks and sounds great

Also picked up this beautiful Tama SLP Babinga snare... it was in my favorite size.. 13x7 so I couldn't resist... thanks Bish....

Also ordered a new throne from MF to match the red heads Bish put on the kit

And i know you have all heard me say I'm not a believer in soft cases... but I picked up the soft cases Bish had for this kit also.

I've considered buying from this store, but, it's too long of a drive.

Ha. Looking at your gigging pictures, I don't think I have anything you don't have something better of. You got the goods and know how to play them.

Looks good, Zack. These pictures looked better than what I saw on my phone. Good choices. I think that Kick Port would have matched that throne top perfectly.

I know I regret my decision now lol

Beautiful kit! That extra-deep kick....how’s that going so far? I assume it has tons of “thud” and projection but little resonance???
My Centennial kick is 18x22, and I’ve contemplated sending it somewhere to get cut down.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

You know, in my head I expected it to be a lot difference.
It's taken a lot more tweaking than I expected to get it to where I'm super happy with it.
It's a short sweet punch in the chest sound now.

I don't have a lot. Here's a few but nothing great. Two before a gig this past spring (same gig) and another from my basement setup for practice with Superpads and L80 Cymbals.

    OH SNAP
Yeah that snare would look good on that kit.
Well I'll start shopping for another one and we can work something out for this one lol

I'm happy with my Tama Stewart Copeland COB. I may look at the oak colored 7x14, the SLP Bubinga 6x14, or even a matching B/B 6.5x14 snare.
