    Default Drum set for studio

I am looking to add a drummer to my studio. The following are in my budget:
    80s used Pearl MLX
    Yamaha stage custom/tour custom
    Mapex armory series
    Pearl masters maple.

Which one would you recommend for a versatile drummer for rock, blues and pop?

The Pearl MLX has the following sizes:
    Bass 22" x 16"
    Floor tom 16" x 16"
    Tom 13" x 11"
    Tom 12" x 10"
    Tom 10" x 10"

The others, basically any size combination offered by the manufacturer. as I would be buying new. The MLX seems to be of a higher range but older. Not sure how they compare as I'm not a drummer and have limited knowledge on the subject. The MLX is just above €700 which is just the same price of the stage custom which is the cheapest. Then the armory is up to a €1000. Then the Pearl masters is at around €1300. The tour custom is around €1500.

If none of these are really that good then I have to wait so I can increase the budget for a premium kit. Something like a reference, black panther or recording custom.

MLX is a kit i'd sell my soul to own, KISS played one. old drums don't mean bad, just aged. Go for it.

The MLX kit will do whatever you need---and they are my favorite sizes (except for the 10" toy)

My vote goes to the Yamaha Stage Customs. Great sound, quality, and price point ...

Actually, all of those are great kits. You really can’t lose.
The Stage Customs are technically of a slightly lower level than the others, but still great drums. I would probably go with the Masters Maple or MLX, but that’s more of a personal taste than anything.

Now I will need 2 boom stands, 1 regular cymbal stand, a kick drum pedal and a hi hat stand/clutch assembly. What brand and model of each would you recommend that are not very expensive but of nice build?
