    Default College Football Champion

    Notre Dame ? Alabama ? Clemson ? Oklahoma ? Who's it gonna be ?

The Vegas lines suggest Notre Dame and Oklahoma don't have much of a shot.

I agree that Oklahoma is outclassed here -- they lost to Texas AGAIN (almost twice !) and don't have a good defense.
Georgia is a better football team, but lost two games -- one to LSU by 20 points.
Notre Dame is undefeated -- WOW -- but arguably had a weaker schedule than they usually do.................Ball State and Vandy ?

So are we back down to a Clemson/Alabama showdown ?............maybe this is starting to shape up as a rivalry.

I was in Mountainberg Arkansas back around '81-82 visiting old family friends. Had to go to Ft Smith to get some brews as I was in a dry county (way too many of those suckers scattered around the USA) and as I was coming out of the ABCDEFG store, there were about 30 buses full of kids from wherever the Razorbacks come from on their way to Texas for a game. Never heard so much yellin' and screamin' as there was that day.

As a side note. They still had some hitchin' posts along what passed for the main drag but no horses. There were a couple of Corvairs tied up so I figured they were modernizing the town.

I don't watch college football but I figure that William&Mary has a good shot as long as they don't run into Nick&Tony at the Rose Bowl.

If you did not see this yesterday, you missed the most entertaining moment in all the Bowl Games.

    Texas definitely came to play................

I understand the whole mascot thing...but let’s face it. Longhorn cattle (and buffaloes as well) are not exactly something that should be allowed on a football field.

Bevo has a comfortable and familiar spot reserved for his games in Austin.
I can't imagine taking him out to road games...................crazy.
This specific Bevo is only a couple of years old and weighs 1700 lbs.................not yet laid back.

Colorado used to bring Ralphie the Buffalo to Lincoln when we were in the Big 8....until Bob DeVaney (athletics director) stepped in a steaming buffalo chip. After that, live animals were not allowed in the stadium. Well....unless they were wearing a helmet, LOL. Unfortunately, Ralphie was better mannered (and probably smarter) than a few of the players we’ve had.
