    Default I got fancy....Roland SPD-SX

Well... with the new band I have decided to make a step into the electronics world and I picked up a new Roland SPD-SX sample pad through work. Of course now I need to order the bracket, a stand, and a case (the expense never ends)

But I'm super excited to try it out and I won't lie, very nervous about learning all the in and outs as I've never used electronics.

I know there is a bracket to mount the pad, but won’t that fit on a snare stand?

Guess it would depend on where you want to put it.

Another option would be just giving you a microphone to let you make all the sample sounds with your voice, but the layers and loops would be difficult.

oh I see none of the photos worked... hmmm I'll try to fix them later.

I ordered the base and a Gibraltar stand specific for it.
I'm also going to order an SKB hardcase designed specifically for it also.
Benefit or curse of working in a music store?!?!

Hey Zack, I got the SDP-SX about a week ago, and I have to say it's very intuitive to set up! So far I've imported waves, created several kits, created kit chains, added a trigger for an acoustic drum, added extra drum pads from my ekit, and set up a foot switch to move through the kit chains. I'll be using it on a gig this Friday.

Rukus Mod Orange Club 4 pc
    DW Design 6 pc

Various places. Some I'm taking directly from the original recording of the song and cutting out the piece that I need using Audacity. I got a couple from a karaoke site that has customizable tracks so you can isolate the track you want. My bandmate got me all the original Simmons SD5 wavs.
