Default Great first gig at a new venue

Saturday night my New Wave band played its first gig at a new venue for us. I was afraid the weather forecast would scare everyone off and we'd be playing to an empty room, but we had a good crowd that was dancing all night. The guy who we booked the gig with was there and he loved the band and wants to book us everywhere. This guy has ins at the beach clubs, festivals, town concert series. etc., so if he's not just blowing smoke, he could really help us get into the better rooms and higher paying gigs. Here's a video from the gig(sorry for the cell phone quality):

    Sounded good ND.

I have to admit that I hated that song. My 2nd wife's name was Sharon and that was HER SONG. She would put the record on (yes, vinyl) and dance around the house. I would tell her that all she needed was a pole and guys with $5 bills and she would be in business.

Nice job bud, that s a tough song .. we used to do it but only got the long solo part correct about 90% of the time because the lead guitar player would lose his count and it turned into a disaster one too many times.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
